hilarous and awsome and AMAZINGGG!
This movie is great!! i haven't seen it since i was like five and i laughed so hard when i seen it agin!
This was an awesome movie aswell...I loved it so much when I was little that I actually wore out the tape...lmao!!!!
Compared to predecessor MULAN, TARZAN feels like a lesser Disney animated feature, but it still emerges as a noteworthy entry. The animation is as stunning as you would expect from a Disney feature, namely the jungle, which were rendered with a new technology called "deep canvas", lending a three-dimensional quality to the turf of the gorillas. Phil Collins' songs also deserve mention; rather than being showstopping musical numbers, they are simply "background" songs which underscore key moments of the film, from Tarzan's journey to manhood to his burgeoning love for a British explorer, Jane. It just falls short of greatness, however, due to a predictable plot and in the characterization of the villain, the greedy poacher Clayton. Compared to many of Disney's better bad guys, he simply doesn't make the cut, not only for having a monodimensional personality but for being so obviously villainous. (It makes the revelation that he is a traitor less effective than it should be.) Compared to later features from Disney, however, TARZAN is still good fun while it lasts.
Another cute little Disney film, wasn't much interested in seeing this but it's actually really good :)
Disney is running out of stories to remake, so in this story, they go into the jungle (again), but do Tarzan the Ape Man and his girl, Jane. This retelling is fun, but has some odd contemporary jokes, and a very strange surfing the trees scene that would really, really hurt Tarzan's feet. Tarzan feet ouch! Uhg! Phil Collins does the score.
This is one of my favourite cartoons of all time. It has everything in it, comedy, romance, drama and more. Oh it also has a great soundtrack mostly by Phil Collins. A definate must see.
Loved the music for this film. Phil Collins is great. The animation was great for body movement. The cast was nice and so was the story.
Outstanding animation and plot development, with adrenaline-pushing sequences for the whole family to enjoy, learn, and to be taken their breath away. It will move you, make you laugh, and keep you thinking at the end. Grand!!
86/100
The movie is a lot of fun. It has scenes that move through space with a freedom undreamed of in older animated films, and unattainable by any live-action process...there's a sequence where Tarzan helps Jane escape from a killer leopard, and as they hurtle through the treetops and loop the loop on byways of vines, and surf flawlessly across moss covered tree limbs it's like a roller-coaster ride...
I really loved this movie when I was a kid. I cried (for the first time ever for an animated movie!) wept bitterly even. (awwww.)
i thought that was so cool how he could tree branch surf and swing from rope and stuff when i was a kid i wanted to try it but mother wouldnt let me but now i dont blame her!
This was a fun movie to share with my 6yr old.The characters were interesting and comical, the music,by Phil Collins was great. It held all the elements you expect from Disney, the range of emotions, sadness, grief, excitement, goofy and silly.
one of the most memorable movies i've ever watched...tarzan in absolutely captivating...particulary in the opening scene, disney does an impressive transitions between two worlds, the gorilla's and our human world...what an absoulte strong opening, seeing what happened to the Tarzan's parents and also what Kala the female gorilla struggled to keep Tarzan at the first place...and..mmm..Phil Collins does a great great job for bringing this movie soundtracks...the humour in this movie is also very good...instead of adding fart jokes, Tarzan brings a lot of original humour which are genuine instead of forced..
i used to watch this every day when i was about 6 years...i remember every line of every song in this movie! once again, i must say that disney rules! tarzan in one of classic disney masterpiece...looove the soundtracks...i cry every time i saw the big gorilla daddy died...T.T
Long live disney classsics...=)
Very great movie for kids to own and watch. When this came out I was moving out of my kid years to my preteen years. Its a great one to own.
i always love disney's..!! great soundtrack, especially Strangers Like Me. very touching at the end. T.T.T.T.T
I liked this movie a lot I went to see it w/ a neighbor and her kids bad idea we were crying the 3 year old yelled at us to stop laughing!
A dynamite and smart storytelling experience with stunning animation and a wonderfully spirited Jane. Half of this movie is among Disney's best work. The other half being ever so slightly flawed.
I saw this movie after nearly 9 years after its release - argh! I missed out on a lovely movie but I am glad I finally did see it. I have been a fan of Tarzan since a child and I didn't like much of the distortion done here, but it was an animated feature, so given that, I compromised on my being a purist and enjoyed the movie immensely!
Good cast acting for the voice roles. Though, this could be improved considerably. Disney should remaster this on HD DVD or something!
