Hoping to follow a new path, Dana and her partner Carl Kreiger (Jurgen Prochnow) decide to start a new business, and Dana sees this as an ideal opportunity to reacquaint herself with her daughter Traci (Mandy Schaffer), who has spent the past three years in a boarding school. Dana discovers that Traci has blossomed into a willful and sexually outgoing teenager, and while Dana is happy to have a closer relationship with Traci, she also finds her daughter to be more than a bit possessive.
