Jack Black and Kyle Gass on their way to rock stardom in a comedic trip to find the pick involved with the recordings of the greatest bands of rock history. Sounds like a fun idea and turns out to be one as well, at least for the most parts. The beginning with young J.B. and his ...( read more)

It was good but it was just another re-hashing of their early material like the show, the first album, etc. Bigger budget equals a little more fun

I'm a huge fan of Tenacious D. I love their music cos it's funny when I hear it. And I love when JB sang classico. It looks like spontaneous. I love when KG played the guitar. It's sooooo awesome!!! ROCK!!!

Gass and Black should have been given a few more chances to go completely bonkers. full review
Not as bad as the godawful trailer might lead you expect, but not the gut-buster that longtime fans of the D must have been hoping for, either. full review
Destined to become the most hilarious musical epic ever. full review
The movie lags on occasion, but it also has quite a few laughs. full review
The plot pings along energetically, and if it rarely makes much sense, it usually finds the shortest distance between two jokes. Like a dumb but infectious rock song, you can't really justify loving t... full review
