If you Love Tenacious D, you'll love this movie!
A bit of toilet humour, a bit of clap humour and of course some beutiful one liners... and the tenacious D style singing/music!!
I would imagine only metal heads would love or appreciate this movie. Jack Black and his sidekick guitarist, set out to recover (steal) the Pick Of Destiny. The guitar pick holds satanical properties that makes the barer ROCK, when played. Horns Up Baby!
I'm not overly fond of Jack Black but I'm even less fond of the band Tenacious D, which, in my opinion, write some of the worst songs I've ever heard, especially when most of the lyrics seem to be sound effects than words. My friend said, and I quote, 'I'll put on the first five minutes' but kept the whole film on. A film starring Tenacious D with a soundtrack mostly by Teacious D didn't bode well with me. Worst soundtrack I've ever heard starring two over-rated individuals. If you're a Tenacious D fan then you'll probably enjoy it but steer clear otherwise.
STUPID F***ING MOVIE. every second work was a swear word, and it was just so stupid. like I WASTED $5 BUCKS TO SEE THIS P.O.S. but hahah my brother loved it the little fagg.
Interesting film, not sure whether I would see it again. Many laughs throughout the film, but some of them are distrubing laughs. But generally, a good film to watch.
The funniest musical to ever exist. Tenacious D is great, there music is great, movies are great when you throw all of that together how could you not have something fantastic?
This movie was funny and silly at the same time. Good laughs throughout the movie. I couldn't even tell that David Grohll was the devil. Good make up. Great music and lyrics. My type of music film. ROCK!
This film is absolutely shite!! I couldnt stand this film. The acting was absolutely terrible from Jack Black and Kyle Gase. The plot of this film is absolutely pathetic and stupid. The direction is absolutely appauling and so is the cameo. I expected better cameo from Ben Stiller.
Creo que como mal admirador del rock esta película no me parecio tan graciosa en partes pero Jack Black le da ese toque caracteristico suyo acerca del rock que es muy entretenido.
En realidad la historia de dos perdedores ya mayorcitos de edad en la busqueda de la fama y paga de la renta con ayuda del rock es algo buena y algo novedosa pero hay momentos muy exagerados que resultan pateticos.
Hay partes buenas pero como siempre la música debe ser algo que rescata a este filme y también gracias a Jack Black.
Varios cameos interesantes y algunas risas le dan aprecio.
i loved this movie it had a perfect combination of action and storyline. there is a selction of catchy songs and the humour is hilarious. altogether a great movie
What got me through this otherwise amateurish mediocre movie was Tenacious D's often times hilarious music. I love how Jack Black is so sure that they're the greatest band in the world. And I also loved the rock off with Satan (played very well by Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl). I enjoyed it, but not quite enough to recommend it to everybody else.
Expected something much better... Love jack black, but although it sucked I was glued to the screen to the last minute waiting for some king of salvation.
No. It started good with a young jack black but it was all down hill from that point. I don't really remember laughing which can't be good for a comedy. Not really worth the watch
Thought it would be totally funny b/c I love Jack Black and Tenacious D. I could not at all get through this movie b/c every other word out of J. Blacks mouth was a curse word and was very offensive to me.
Funny, nice songs, a little bit stupid, but very VERY nice actors, I mean singers, like David Grohl (the devil) and even Dio was in it in the beginning. This is really a movie for old school rockers! ;-) (like me)
