Critic Reviews

  • Laremy Legel, Film.com

It brings me very little joy to report that this version of the popular Terminator franchise is silly, obtuse, and pointless.

  • Ben Mankiewicz, At the Movies

This is the worst big budget summer release I've seen in some time.

  • Ben Lyons, At the Movies

It's a fun time at the movies.

  • Anthony Lane, New Yorker

Terminator Salvation is a confused, humorless grind, with nobody, from the stars to the set designers, prepared to prick its self-importance.

  • Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal

The digital effects are mostly quite dazzling-not just the depictions of towering marauders...but a memorably scary sequence in which a little serpentine robot that's been taken captive thrashes furiously to save its nonlife.

wow... really? McG just crapped on the entire franchise with this ridiculous, blockbuster-explosion-mind-fudge (ala Transformer's 2). I like Christian Bale. I loved Terminator 1. I absolutely loved Terminator 2. Terminator 3 kinda sucked but this... no words can express. The… More

A man on death row donates his body to science, little knowing he would wake up in the middle of a war between mankind and machine. The fourth film in the Terminator franchise, Salvation is set after the bombs have dropped and as such is the one a large proportion of the terminator… More

As an action movie its pretty good, as a terminator sequel "Meh" to me only James Cameron can make terminator movies, its just a pity he made two. it is fun for the action and spectacle fan but for the plot fan look somewhere else, but its great fun
