Plot: A family's new satellite TV system starts receiving signals from another planet, and soon it becomes the passageway to an alien world.
Well not to much i can say on this movie except dont expect a cool alien sci fi movie or a horror film here this one is played for the cheese factor only produced by Charles Band who also had a hand in Pupper Masters and Gingerdead Man is this movie about a family that gets a new satillite dish that soon turns into a portal for another world in comes a alien that takes out most the family and the only one that knows whats going on is a kid no one will listen to. watch if your into really cheesey B movies or just dont waste your time
this movie is just so much fun. it kinda reminds me of society. but just more campy. great effects lots of cheese and a fucking sweet ride....."you like metal kiss the boot"
A product of free HBO in the 80's. I saw this a few times, and though I haven't seen it in twenty years, I at least gave it 2 stars for nostalgia. Check out Roger Workman as the rocker. Dude.
is it good? no, but it's still awesome. it's a horridly wonderful campy as fuck movie that was made for no other reason than to have a good time. the sets are purposely obvious models, the acting is ridiculously over the top, and the camera kinda just did it's own thing. but it's a blast to watch.
Cool performances by Diane Franklin, Mary Woronov and Jennifer Richards are all for not, as, unfortunately, the movie follows around the really boring young boy. Bummer.
A few funny scenes in this film, but I'm not even sure if they were supposed to be funny. The same goes for the acting. The only thing to like about this film is laughing at it. One of those ones to watch when you're drunk.
Wacky monster mayhem occurs when an odd american family accidentally picks up more than they bargained for on their satellite dish. Filled with poor acting and a plot that can be a bit tedious, this 80s horrorcomedy redeems itself with interesting creature animatronics.
A b-movie social commentary on life in 80s America where keeping up with the Jones's was a bigger concern than your family being eaten alive by some weird space monster. Watch for the guy who played Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite (he's the heavy metal dude).
