    The starting point for Frank Miller's depiction of the Battle of Thermopylae. After viewing, you can defineately tell where the influences come from.     Rememebr this is a movie made at a time before the special effects we are accustomed to today were available. having said that. The movie follows the old greek mythology about King Leonidas and his personal guard holing the pass of Themopaly. what is good about about it was hi...( read more)s the special tactics that his troops employed and actually held off the the Persian warriors. What was bad about it was the treachery and deciet tha ultimately caused his defeat. I give it a thumbs up. it's worth seeing if only to compare to 300.
