Honestly one of the funniest foul films since Clerks, but dealing with entirely different subject matter, this film solidifies the fact that Steve Carell is one of the funniest men in Hollywood and deserves every single word of praise he receives.
Pretty funny!! I liked that Andy wasn't too excessively geeky or anything... other than the strange collections and everything, he really was a pretty normal guy...
Steve is great...the best part is in the end when he finally made it and he sing the song...thats what i wanna do when i'll...euh i mean thats what i sang when i...anyway good movie
I liked this movie better than Wedding Crashers, which is saying something since that was my OTHER favorite movie of 2005. There's a nice story behind this movie, it's not just a guy trying to screw. Steve Carell is a national treasure (and don't sleep on Seth Rogen either). The only part of this movie I DIDN'T like is the part where I hope this doesn't mirror my own life...scary.
At first, I was like "why would you make a movie about some guy who is too nerdy to have ever had sex." I was surprised when I watched it and, not only does it NOT totally make fun of staying a virgin until marriage, it's way too funny.
She was a ho...fo sho.
This movie is absolutely hilarious!! I really like the american pie movies and i think that this is really similar humour, so if u like that kinda thing watch it. Steve Carell is perfectly suited!
this is the first time i saw steve in a leading role and he pulls it off so well. i couldnt stop laughing at this and i watched again the next day. even my dad stayed for ages to watch it instead of going out!! its hilarous.
It's directed by one of the guys behind Freaks and Geeks, so it'd be difficult for it to be bad. And it's not! It's funny, and nice, and not nice in a shitty, sudden-jarring-gear-change sort of way! Then they sing.
A watchable mediocre comedy. Not particularly memorable nor groundbreaking but worth a rental. Some scenes seem badly improvised and unpolished. Nothing special.
