Very loveable family tale of the friendship between a pug nosed puppy and a curious ginger kitten. Ultimately cutesy and more amusing than funny, but still enjoyable mostly thanks to Dudley Moores thoughtful narration. Perhaps a little dated since 1986 and the techniques of the J...( read more)apanese creators must come into question since cats don't swim and dogs don't fly (but both happen on screen). Nothing like watching cute animals getting killed on screen by Japanese for American kicks. Still, first movie I ever cried in. I soothed myself by saying it was movie tricks, but upon re-watching they totally just freaking slaughtered lots and lots of puppies and kitties.

Had a picture book of this movie in 1st grade and I read it over and over again. I loved the story back then, don't know how much it'd do for me now.

YES, Excellent movie! My little red headed boy got his name from this movie! Because he is a star! Like Milo and Otis! A very memorial film, all children should see this movie!

I've seen this little movie so many times, I used to really love it. It's great for kids but honestly not brilliant. Doesn't exactly stand the test of time.

Good film, but not something you'd want to repeat.

Cleverly filmed family movie, enjoyable, certainly cute. Dudley Moore's narration can is very enthusiastic but also can sometimes be a bit irritating. It's hard not to like a film with adorable puppies and kittens.
