You broke my heart, De Niro. You broke my heart. *sniff*

Standard film, mediocre, nothing further, worth one watch or two.

    It was funny.

Big-name actors Robert Deniro, Jason Alexander and Rene Russo look utterly daft, hamming it up and almost winking at the camera for their baddie roles. The cartoon was very simplistic, so I don't know why they'd want to make a movie out of it. (Was a big producer in Hollywood a f...( read more)an of the show?)

The 3-D CGI realization of Rocky and Bullwinkle themselves is skillfully done, so watch it for that reason alone.

As expected, the story is a mindless diversion, but nothing profound.

This disposable movie is in the Previously-Viewed bin at Blockbuster daily.

A train wreck that is almost fun to watch because it is so incredibly bad. The entire cast and crew must have lost their minds to hallucinogens during the filming. I have no idea why anyone would try to adapt such a campy and cartoony show. It would be like trying to do a live ac...( read more)tion version of Gumby.

A fun movie with some wit thrown in, but honestly a bit underwhelming.

This is a movie based on one of the most popular cartoons series ever made. The film stars Robert DeNiro, Jason Alexander, Rene Russo, Piper Perabo and of course the animated Rocky and Bullwinkle. I liked the cartoon when I was a kid. I thought this was a decent enough live actio...( read more)n movie. The animation and live character interaction was well done. I also thought Jason Alexander was very funny as Boris and so was DeNiro as Fearless Leader. The story is okay. More geared for kids to enjoy. There is some humour added for adults as well. Overall if you were a fan of the old cartoons then check it out. Otherwise you might want to skip it.

I can't believe some of the actors that actually starred in this movie. It was pretty bad.

Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

It's sledgehammer whimsy, and it's not talking to me. full review

Made by people who clearly think themselves much smarter than their audience. In place of whimsy, it offers cynicism. full review

    1. This should have worked as an full length feature animated cartoon, but instead they really killed this franchise. Believe me the animated cartoon series from the 1960's from which this is based is way better. Avoid the live-action version of this mess.

    2. Robert DeNiro and Rene Russo made the worst mistakes of their careers by starring in this piece of dung. What the fuck was DeNiro and Russo thinking when they signed onto this? Not to mention getting Whoopi Goldberg(of all people)into this too. Big fucking mistake!!!

    3. Actress Piper Perabo made her feature film debut here as it was the downfall to her career cause afterwards she went on to star in a string of comedies and dramas that have lesbian subplots(who plays the love interest).

    4. Series creator Jay Ward is rolling in his grave because of what they did to his beloved heroes. See this if you're a huge fan of the show or better yet, watch the original cartoons with are better than this fiasco.

Only see this movie if you are A) a lifelong fan of Rocky & Bullwinkle, or if you are very young. I used to watch the cartoon, and that was a lot better than this movie.
