A young American named Ryan Tyler (Ryan Slater) on the holiday in China sets off with his father, Michael (Stephen Lang) & two friends: a Chinese girl named Ling (Yi Ding ) & Chu (Wang Fei) to visit a panda. They believe a new-born panda is in danger. Ryan and his new companions: Ling & baby panda set off into the dense forest to rescue the cub and find their way back to civilization.

There's nothing amazing about this adventure, except for some nice cinematography, a decent score, and some awfully cute pandas. It's been a while since I've seen action sequences that appear to be spoofs of themselves (this is by no means a comedy). The casting is just atrocious, and the writing is only a bit better. And if I were in charge of special effects, I would have chosen to leave my name off of the credits. I would only recommend this to pop into the DVD player at bedtime for your toddler, it works as a good sedative.

it is a good rescue story. I sure hope people will go the extra mile to save the endangered species and leave something behind for our children to see!

alright, it is different to control real pandas, but i am really fed up with the fake ones with spiritless plastic eyes.

This is the first movie I watched in 2008 (seen it in HBO). I've watched it before, but childhood amnesia has prevented me from remembering it. I enjoyed watching not only because of the cute pandas but because of its theme which revolves around environmental advocacy. I think we need more films which promote such relevant issues. I would also highly recommend this for family viewing since it features a father and son issue.

BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!
They TOTALLY DUBBED IN the adult Panda's lines. It's voice was way too low. And that growling scene? Totally fake... A Panda doesn't make sounds like that, it was a Grizzly Bear or something.

It has been years since I watched this one... All that I remember was that I refused to watch it for 3 years because it scared me really badly, and I don't think that we have it anymore....

I loved this movie as a child, I don't know how good it is now that I'm older, but I watched it at least 3 times... and I almost never re-watch movies!

Great adventure movie. Very cute and heartwarming. I love the baby panda, he steals every scene he is in. I love how the panda cubs are so full of life. They are just adoreable. The is definitely a great family movie. It has a great message to it. Worth seeing.

Yes...a panda adventure does really seem like something worth capturing on film.

    Why wasn't this bigger?

This film was okay. It is definitely a kids film and to my adult tastes...it was lacking in the storyline.

C'était cute.... c'est tout, Tsé, on peut pas résister à un panda, mais le film est mauvcais comme la majorité des films d'animaux.... c'est triste. J'espère au moins qu'ils sont aimés même si ce sont des bêtes de cinéma.....

This is really good, I saw it at a friend's house and I really liked it. Though it might be hard to find a copy of this though.
