Dear Mr Duvall, thank you for your 14-year labour with this film. It deeply spoke to me as I have experienced what you tried to say in the real life. You have correctly portrayed the danger of "playing with God", where one becomes too accustomed to the holy ideas and thinks he becomes above the human law. I understood the personiality of the 'apostle' well: it is a dangerous form of self-denial and the fine mastery of appearing to be the 'holy person', not seeing himself the worst sinner. I am saddened for the people like that young man who followed the 'apostle'. There are many like him who don't use their own heads but following the religious leaders blindly. Your movie came in the right day and the right time. This had redifined my values and portrayed exactly what I wanted to say to the church. This is not about Christ. He is perfect. But those who use his holy name without deserving it (as they don't repent and see themsleves better than others).
