Tim Conway and Don Knotts together is enough to make my sides burst. They don't even need movies to be wonderful-just need to be thrown on a stage and do their thing.
Probably one of my all-time favorites. Don Knotts and Tim Conway make a great team. And yet, through the corny, slapstick humor shines the sweet tale of three orphans who win the hearts of a drinking, gambling bachelor and a tough, no-nonsense lady stagecoach driver, bringing the five together as a family in the end.
A good comedy duo of Conway & Knotts movie is just good clean family fun Disney style. I have always enjoyed this movie. Don Knotts and Tim Conway should have done a hundred more movies together.
I grew up w/ this movie, and i will always try to remain faithful lol. Don Knotts is one of the 20th century's best comedic actors, and this is his best display. an over-all cute film, if not a lil bit corny. oh well, i love it anyways
when I was growing up one of the last televison salvations I was given before I had to go back to school was The Wonderful World of (usually praying for a cartoon) Disney on Sunday nights. The Apple Dumpling Gang was one of the better movies they showed basically for the comedy duo of Conway and Knotts. Now it's solidly rewatchable (especially for Conway/Knotts) because it's loaded w/ actors from the era of television I grew up on including Bill (Dr David Banner) Bixby, Susan (Katherine Papadapolis) Clark, Harry (Colonel Potter) Morgan and Slim "if you move I'll bast a hole in ya you can throw a mule through" Pickens
This movie is a family tradition. When the cousins got together when we were all little, no matter what other shows we watched, we always had to watch this one too!!
