  This movie is also called Assassin in Love..........The English do this sort of thing right. Great quirky characters, the kind you'll never see in an American movie. I loved it for the same reasons I loved Death at a Funeral (the english version directed by Frank Oz of all people) If you like this kind of offbeat stuff, you'll love this. Fantastic fun movie!!

English comedy ensues as his former job is discovered and nearly all of the members of the local citizenry want him to kill someone for them. Meanwhile, another hit man is hot on his trail even following him to Wales in an attempt to kill him. Ingredients: Comedy, drama, romance, action, adventure, lovely scenery and horror (toe nail scene)

  I love the discreet and absurd British humour. Reminds me a little of In Bruges, or to be fair - In Bruges reminds of The Baker because this was made a year earlier. A shame that it hasn't got more attention since it's a great story with great actors (Michael Gambon, in his typical role, among others) and a nice soundtrack. Some parts was pretty slow though. Nevertheless, The Baker is definitely worth watching.
