Short but to the point. With the characters already fleshed out in their respective animated series this film launches stright into plot mode. Joker needs some cash so asks for 1 billion dollars to kill Superman. Guess who follows. Though the film has everything that works well f...( read more)rom the series including cast and animation it doesn't really develop on the existing characters. A nice brief but convincing relationship between Lois and Bruce is nice to see as is the chemistry between Superman and Batman. The writers have done a great job at defining their differences, contrasting their respective social statuses and making them a match for each other. Joker and Luthor also come off as a lethal combination though they are mostly strictly business. Nowhere near the depth and power of Phantasm, but just as fun.

this was a great story. part of the old school superman tv show, they brought in the talent from the batman animated series which is one of the best cartoons of all time and did a great batman superman story. i love this movie, it really shows a great version of the batman meet...( read more)s superman story.

    Loved it

It's a nice crossover segment for Batman and Superman, I just feel that it needed to be a little more epic. The idea of the two biggest superheroes crossing over should've been done on a grander scale, but this was only a two part episode on the t.v. shows. It's fun and has Kevin...( read more) Conroy as Batman, so you can't go wrong there.

Very good addition to the Superman and Batman animated series.

It amazes me just how much story they can fit into a 60 minute film. The season finale of the incredible animated series (a triple episode!) left Batman fans extremely pleased with this perfect little pairing of DCs two best super heroes. Bringing in Louis Lane, Joker and Lex Lut...( read more)her elevated the character dynamics far beyond what we had become accustomed to with the live action films at the time. Considering how much mythos there is for these two iconic characters, it's astonishing how effectively they pull this movie off. Truth be told, Batman is WAY cooler.

Not as good story telling and character development from the animated classics that is Batman Mask Of The Phantasm and Return Of The Joker however for all you batman and superman fans this animated cross over will still keep you entertained.

I saw this in 3 parts as part of the TV series. It was good introduction to the "new look" WB-Bruce Timm style that would continue through until Justice League Unlimited. Yes, the new Joker look was odd, but you get used to it after awhile. Music and voice acting is still top-...( read more)notch, but the story tends to lag halfway through. I do also like that Bruce could have totally stolen Lois if he wanted to, which is referred to later on in the series as well.
