Plot:
The first and by far the best. I've not seen the remake, but I don't think I want to. You simply can't replace the likes of Alastaire Sim and Joyce Grenfell.
Comparable to Jean Vigo's Zero de conduite (1933) in its portrayal of anarchy at school, however this also says a lot about British class and race politics. It also says a lot about stockings. Some fantastic hairstyles that look more punk than punk 20 years later. It's also much better than the fatuous If...
This movie is so different to modern movies because it's in black and white. I think it's great and the girl that plays princess Fatima is really pretty!!
