Director Claude Miller paints an unflinching portrait of the unlikely alliance that forms one summer between Marc (Patric Dewaere), a macho sports director at a boys' summer camp, and Philippe (Patrick Bouchitey), a music teacher who loves to dress in women's clothing. At first, their relationship is rife with tension as Marc persecutes Philippe for his feminine ways. Soon, however, it turns sexual as Marc realizes the root of his homophobia.
