John Huston adapted the first 22 chapters of the Book of Genesis in this mostly silly film that takes us from Creation through Noah's Ark through Abraham's near-sacrifice of son Isaac.
just loved this flim A good movie I like the Quality of it, and its good to let the kids watch it so they can learn more about the Lord and have a good life.
BEAUTIFUL MOVIE ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF ALL THIS CREATION BY THE ALMIGHTY LORD OF ALL HOSTS !!!!!!!!!! REALLY FUN AND LEARNING MOVIE TO WATCH !!!!!!!!!!!1
I don't know if I want to see this or not...on one hand, it's about the Bible, so that's a plus...but on the other hand it seems like it would be a very silly movie, and maybe making fun of it...I don't know.
I missed it at the halfway the film but in the beginning it was really good, but i missed halfway through on tv, it was late film at 1am until 2.45am ... but i fell asleep. I wish I could see it again.
Say what you want about this movie, but I thought it was very well done. Great acting and cast. There should be more stories from The Bible done like this to better educate people about it. And that's not me being an overzealous Christian. That's just me wanting to see better movies than the crap they churn out now.
I know... i feel guilty giving this rating to a movie entitled "The Bible".... but what can I do? the synopsis doesnt sound like the movie is any good....
Considering the year this was created the movie was to my liking and satisfactory as Bible stories go. It's not quite a movie, neither is it a documentary...it's a story!
Awsome, awsome, true story that is very close to the Holy Bible. Very interesting and historical. Can almost follow it in the Genesis chapter of the Bible. Love the truth of the movie.
Yeesh. One of the best film directors takes on the first half of Genesis and turns out one of the worst films of all time - a poorly lit, cheap looking, badly acted travesty. It unquestionably has its moments, but if you can last more than five minutes, you deserve an award. Sadly, I'm the target audience for this film - a Christian whose favorite films are big, long, sweeping historical epics.
I'm not sure how they managed to fit so much into one movie, but still drag it along at an irritatingly slow pace. Also, don't buy into the name. It doesn't cover the whole bible. Less than half of one book of the bible, in fact. But nah, it was okay. I just did a year-long depth study of Genesis and this was a pretty accurate and credible representation. Though I picked out little misquotes and stuff. Oh dear, I think there's something wrong with me.
