I guess it's either the scariest movie you've ever seen or the stupidest cult hit you've ever made the mistake of watching. For me it was the former. If you want real horror, don't make the mistake of watching it with friends. Lock yourself in a dark room and dare watch it. It will thoroughly freak you out.

I must say I liked this one. It was one of those films where you needed to believe what you was seeing was real and not a film. I kept asking myself what was going to happen when the sun goes down and I was frozen in my chair at the end.
Just want to add that my wife knew nothing of this film and before watching it I told her it was all real... she bought it and at the end she was crying in my arms. Bless ;Dposted 359 days ago -

I just got done watching the movie like an hour ago since my friend hates it and gave it to me. When I get back to my moms house I am going to shoot it with a BB Gun, lol.

This movie is brilliant. Not for the typical uneducated watcher thought. For those it will only look like a cheap stupid movie, wondering when all the gore and scaring ghost faces are going to appear.
The final is just astonishing.

omg! i can NOT say how much i love this movie!
when i first watched it, it was in the summer time. and like the next week i had to go to this camp call CQE and there is a BIG woods there and an over night trip! when we all went on the over night trip we went by canoe and like it was 1-2 hours away from the camp. when we got to the place we were staying at there was a really old cabain that like no one was there! we were all really scared becasue i brought up the topic of the blair witch and everyone yelled and me like JACQUELINE, SHUT UP! and like everyone was up all night scared becuase the counsilers knew we were all scared so where playing pranks on us to think someone was in the cabin and coming to get us!!posted 456 days ago -

Aww,god bless all the mindless little children of the world.Stop your whining and go take a time out as well as a nap.Leave the real horror films to us adults thank you. This movie was obviously too much for pea brains to comprehend for it takes a certain "imagination" in which todays youth has no concept of the word let alone the capacity to understand a film such as this.Stick to what you know best;technology doing the thinking and imagining for you.

You need to be really open minded to watch this film but if you are, you'll never be that much scared. Just because it's the only movie where you need to ask to people: Is it real or is it just a movie?
because you have no idea what is true and what isn't.posted 509 days ago -

This was a good movie, or it almost was, but like to many X-Files episodes, & the movie as well, it left me wanting more & a little disgusted with what I got. Ultimately it had just didn't have enough story & relied to heavily on shadows to tell you what was going on.

Quite possible my favorite horror film of all time and the only movie to really give me nightmares. Today, out of my adolesence, The Blair Witch Project plays a whole new role, far from frights, but the entertainment is still very much present. The production alone is enough to interest me, but to see it on screen is amazing. Wonderful improvisional acting, an unprecedented level of realism, and an atmosphere more raw than any other horror a decade forward (I'm sure) or back. A shinning example that what you don't see is far more horrifying than whatever you do. This is the brilliance of allowing the audiences imagination to become the monster. Smart, subtle, and shocking. The Blair Witch Project stands today as one of the most underrated films ever made.
