Small town teens battle the titular goo. With action, good special effects and the minimal characterization we expect from monster movies, it?s at least as entertaining as the overrated original.

Besides the just above average acting this is no more a gore fest than Edward Scissorhands. It's a comic movie, without trying to be. Shawnee Smith did a good job, but the movie itself was a discredit to the original "Blob". Each death is less than scary and makes you unnerved on...( read more)

A different approach than the original in that there is no unbelievers. Also, if the original was a subtle commentary on the expansion of military weaponry, this one was an overt one as the ?blob? here was the direct result of chemical weapons development. Also, the commentary on...( read more)
