    one of my absolute fave genre films from the 80's is this update of Steve Mcqueen's original. full of 80's refs and ultra gore and cheesy dialogue, it pays its dues to the b-movie in so many ways. im meeting shawnee smith this summer and cant wait to talk to her about it.

    Superb remake! almost surpasses the original in terms of a more realistic and moving Blob creature, slimy splatter abound and of course terrific special effects including good acting.

    One of the great Sci-fi horror flicks to be watched.

    Cheesy by today standards but this film gives me what i like the most...body count. Any less than 10 and i would have been very disappointed.

    Along with 'the fly', a remake that actually surpasses any appeal of the original movie. chuck russell manages to keep the b-movie feel but combines it with some decent humor and great gory fx.

    Hmm........ It was alright,
    okay it was pretty good, This also has sentimental value but I did like it better than "Invasion of the body Snatchers" so yeah, It's alot like "something beneath"
