This spooky horror film is set in an abandoned southwestern silver mine. It was closed in the early 1900s after it suddenly caved in. Now engineers begin re-exploring the mine in hopes of reopening it. Big mistake, for it is inhabited by a den of terrifying monsters just itching to get their slimy tentacles on some fresh meat.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"The director keeps the creatures off-camera for most of the film, but when they do show up they're at once ridiculous and brilliant: rubbery, king crab-like things..."
‑ John Beifuss, Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)
"At best, it's a so-so horror pic."
‑ Dennis Schwartz, Ozus' World Movie Reviews
"Hey, we weren't all that demanding of our low-budget monster movies in 1981."
‑ Scott Weinberg, FEARnet
"Click to read the review."
‑ Staci Layne Wilson, About.com
"This is a fairly typical, low-rent, low-imagination horror movie of the early 1980s."
‑ Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloid
"Obscure and unknown. Deservedly so."
‑ Scott Weinberg, eFilmCritic.com
