A great action flick. Matt Damon did a great job. Sort of like James Bond. I've never read any of the books but I might now after watching the movie. My favorite of the Bourne series.

The first time I was about to watch this movie I thought: I bet this is going to be boring. When the movie was over I thought: I LOVE this movie! It's awesome <3

Densely plotted, but not overly complex. Matt Damon gave a sincere performance, but was unfortunately too emotionally thin to make me buy the crisis of conscience he suffered in regards to his work. Franka Potente was really good - she managed to turn Marie's improbable actions into something believable, and her romance with Bourne was a welcome offset to the action. I enjoyed the action sequences and the music that accompanied them - both were simplistic and swift - and it turned out to be a smartly executed action film that was nicely lean and efficient compared to other hyped-up spy thrillers I've seen.

Was SO very disappointed that the story was so far from the book. Apart from that I still enjoyed it.

this movie had a lot of potential. The plot is A+ and the action is A-, but its still an A. Like i just said this was a really good idea for a spy thriller and i really liked it. The rest of this series had great potential.

A really great movie. Breathtakingly amazing.
I love the settings on countries all over Europe. Thats awesome.
Did he just speak German? hey, he spoke french! now Spanish! wow...

I like the story and thrill. And with just a hint of humour, like in the hotel in Pars. After all those codes, steps, etc.etc. 'Why don't we just ask for it?' hahaha2xl happened so quick.
I didnt really get the ending, but it was great.
Matt Damon was teriffic, but he cant kiss. haha2x.
A great introduction to the Bourne trilogy.
    Excellent.

Det börjar ju bra med action man-killen som fiskas upp från en fiskebåt och inte minns vem han är, men så småningom upptäcker att han är en hejare på att slåss. När han kommit underfund med det blir det tråkigt.

Apparently dubbed the "thinking man's" action picture, I'm not sure exactly what there is to think about. Visually superior to its sequels.

I was surprised by how good this was - it most certainly avoids any James-Bondness and becomes something almost unique (as far as this tired sort of spy story could go to becoming unique anyway) - it's never quite an action film, or too much of a romance, it floats genres very successfully.

Absolutely fantastic. Damon is great as Bourne. I think these films are better than the books (the first time I've ever thought that!)

The start to Jason Bourne's journey is a bit typically euro (the kind of you've seen before), but it's the start to a brand of tense action movies - it only gets better.

Bond beater, at least until Casino Royale came along, this spy caper /action romp/other cliched descriptions of this genre is brutal and slick. Shaky camera not to everyone's tastes though, it actually made a mate of mine throw up.

I think this is the first one of the series. They're all worth seeing - more intelligent than you'd think. And Franka is, as always, magnetic.

Taut and polished. It's a fun thrill ride with the world's most vulnerable, most human super assassin.

On a stormy night, a young man is pulled out of the Mediterranean Sea by the crew of a fishing boat. Thinking the young man is dead, a curious fisherman with a scalpel finds two bullets in his back and a miniature laser device in his hip. The laser reveals a Swiss bank account number. But our wet hero isn't dead and seems to have forgotten everything in life, including who he was. Matt Damon plays his character perfectly. This movie is full of action and suspense

This one was hard for me to watch at the movies because the screen moved around alot when he was running which was pretty much the entire movie.

Can I give it a negative rating? Please? I'd consider paying for that privilege. Because I absolutely *despise* this movie. This abomination is an utter disgrace in the realm of book-movie conversions and is a slap in the face to any fans of the book. If you've read and love the books, don't expect this movie to even slightly resemble the wonderfully intricate plot we're familiar with. The only resemblance I can discern is the name of the main character. Everything else (and I mean *everything*) is different.

Picot 2 Pictures, Images and Photos the bourne indentity was a very good action/thriller. matt damon plays a great dangerous assassin who has lost his memory & has to go to the ends of the earth to find out who he really is. it is kind hard to understand but nonetheless exciting. it has great storyline, great intense action, & great suspsense. the acting was great from everyone. this was a very entertaining action film from start to finish. overall i recommend this movie for all matt damon & action fans. its one cool action packed movie 4/5 stars.

It may have taken me 6 years to see the movie but I'm glad I finally did! Anytime a movie does foreighn languages, even with subtitles, i tend to get a little lost but then again it ads to realism as well.. One thing that sucks about not seeing it before was that I already knew he was an assassin just from the previews on the other two movies. Which is kind of a downer when seeing this movie for the first time.
