The Bourne Supremacy

Fueled by splintered nightmares and haunted by the past he cannot remember, Bourne moves Marie from city to city, trying to remain one step ahead of the threat implicit in every unexplained stranger's glance, every "wrong number" phone call -- that at any second, without any warning, he might get pulled back into the world he hopes he left behind. When an operative appears in the sleepy village that has been their latest home, Bourne and Marie collapse their lives and head out. His past at the door, their only chance now is to run. But once a line is crossed and the stakes in a new global game of cat-and-mouse are raised, the Jason Bourne created by Treadstone -- the covert, now dismantled operation that spawned cold-blooded, professional assassins -- returns. Two years ago, Bourne walked away from the deadly world that created him with a promise of retaliation should anyone attempt contact. Now that that world has indeed come calling, Bourne intends to keep his word. They should have left him alone.

The Bourne Supremacy continues the excellent story of The Bourne Identity. The impressive action scenes, well-choreographed fight scenes, and captivating plot are all present and acounted for.

My favorite of the three Bourne movies. Shame to see Potente's exit from the franchise but what an exit! Greengrass should have directed the trilogy in my opinion!

the whole trilogy is great fun...the car chase scene was gooooood shit.

Trivia note: Damon doesn't smile a single time thru the whole film. What an asshole.

We are reintroduced to Bourne living off of the grid on the coast of India, sharing a beachfront home with Marie, played by Franka Potente. Their living together, has been peaceful since the events of the first movie, but soon Bourne realizes that something doesn't seem right, t...( read more)hat he's being followed. After a chase through the town's streets which ends tragically, Bourne sets out on a mission to find out why he's suddenly being pursued again. Meanwhile a mission in Berlin overseen by Pamela Landy suspiciously fails; Bourne is tagged as the one responsible because his fingerprint is found at the site. Without the humanity and intelligence Damon brings to the character of Jason Bourne, these films wouldn't work. Brian Cox turns in another excellent performance. Karl Urban's character could come across as a machine; he says very little, preferring instead to act, and Urban conveys the presence the character requires. "Supremacy" returns that special kick of watching a dead-eyed Bourne suddenly spring into action and cripple a room of men in two or three moves. The new film heightens Jason's skills slightly, detailing the agent's abilities to defend a knife attack with a rolled up magazine, or his nifty use of a swig of vodka. Bourne is a more driven individual for this installment, so the thrill of watching the assassin's abilities unfold before his stunned eyes is gone; now, the character is a pawn in a larger scheme rather than the focus of the entire movie.

    Review:
The Bourne Supremacy is one of the best action thrillers i ve ever seen and a excellent sequel of the brilliant first installment. This is the first Bourne movie i saw and it grabed me from the beggining to the end.Supremacy has more action, more intensity and a brilliant plot that will lead to the events of the Bourne Ultimatum. Some people may not agree with me but Supremacy is one of the sequels ever made.

Matt Damon gives a even better perfomance as Jason Bourne. In this movie,Bourne is stlli tortured by his past and he also lost his love Marie, forcing Bourne to attack his creators and find the man who murdered Marie.I love Damon as Bourne because he makes the character very tortured and more realistic than James Bond.Matt Damon IS Bourne, nuff said.Joan Allen makes a excellent addiction to the series as Pamela Landy.Landy believes that Bourne killed hs men and begins a relentless chase to catch Bourne but she finds out that she was wrong.Allen s perfomance was fantastic and she s a wonderfull actress.Brian Cox is once great as Abbott and Julia Stlies also returns as Nicky Parson.Karl Urban was intense as Bourne s newest enemy.

Paul Greengrass s direction is even better than Doug Liman s direction in the first movie.Greengrass is one of the best directors ever and he hasn t dissapoint me yet.He brings more intensity and realism to Bourne and the car chase is one of the bests i ve ever seen in years.

The Bourne Supremacy is a excellent second installement of the trilogy and one of the best movies of 2004 along Spider-Man 2,Million Dollar Baby and Collateral.Masterpiece.
