We all see these movies because men secretly want to be spies. Matt Damon shows us how we could all be one secretly and none of the people around us would ever know. You'll leave this movie wanting to be a spy and talking about the fight sceenes

The thing about sequels and threequels is that if the first movie in the series was brilliantly ingenius, they have a lot to live up to. The Bourne franchise is one of the few which has been almost equally as good as each other. Paul Greengrass' take on Bourne can be slightly har...( read more)sh on the eye at time, as his technique uses shaky cameras and a lot of harsh angles. But ultimately, you even can forget about the fact that the movies are completely divergent from the books because the movies are so good in their own right. A cracking ride.
FAVOURITE MOMENT ~ The scene that comes in when Jason is on the phone with Pamela Landy (Allen), a scene that was hinted at in The Bourne Supremacy. This is just clever scriptwriting.

Well made and excellent executed paranoid spy thriller with lots of intense action and spectacle, but also a lot of substance too. The nerd in me likes the fact that the birthplace of a certain character is a small town that's no more than 15 miles from where I live. I can't reco...( read more)mmend this one enough-it's just fabulous.

Damon is no "Bond", he is "Bourne".

This was one HELL of a way to finish the Bourne series.

Continues right where the Supremecy left off, and doesn't quit at all.

Damon is superb and actually made me give this kind of film "Four out of Four" Stars.

A Must-See, and I'm...( read more) not joking.

3 ième volet des films Bourne Identity : Voilà un film d?action comme on en voit peu, dense, tendu, haletant, qui n?abuse jamais de la cavalerie pétaradante mais s?intéresse au récit et aux personnages

The Bourne movies have always been good but this one is shot in a different way to the others. The style is more hectic and hard to see, some people may like this as it captures the hectic nature of everything Bourne is doing but I found it tiering and ultimately boring when I co...( read more)uldnt see what was going on. There is one scene that is shot very well and that is at the train station but other than that this is not a very good Bourne movie and its only reprise is the story which is allright.

He lost his identity, found his supremacy and now Jason Bourne is sending his ultimatum.I was every excited for The Bourne Ultimatum because i enjoyed the first two movies and boy i absolutely loved this spectacular movie. Why is The Bourne Ultimatum is the best movie of the series? It s simple. It managed to maintain the brilliance of Identity and the intensity of Supremacy with a great control.Ultimatum is one of the best movies o 2007 and one of the greatest action movies of all time that won t let you breath.

Matt Damon proves once again that he IS Jason Bourne. This time,Bourne is decided to recover his true identity at all cost.Damon was meant to play Bourne because he s such a realistic and amazing character and the way he reacts to the situations is amazing.Looking back at the series,i couldn t imagine another actor playing Bourne nicely as Damon.Julia Stiles was fantastic as Nikcy Parsons, which gains a even bigger presence in the movie on helping Bourne.I thought that would be some romance between them but that didn t happen.Joan Allen is absolutely fantastic as Pamela Landy. She s no longer a enemy of Bourne and just like him,she s trying to fight the system she helped to creat.Other actors were great like David Strathain as Noah Vosel and Albert Finney was creepy and brilliant as Hrsch, the mastermind behind Blackbriar.

Paul Greengrass directs another spectacular chapter of the Bourne series. This is probably his best work along Bloody Sunday and United 93.Greengrass is the John Frankenheimer of the new century because he directs with such brilliance, intensity and control.Greengrass didin t dissapoint me yet and probably he won t for a long time.

The Bourne Ultimatum is one of the most spectacular and brillaint action movies of all time and probably one of the best movies of 2007.This is what Bourne is all about and i can t wait to see Bourne on the run again in tnhe fourth filme. The Bourne Ultimatum is definetly a masterpiece.

I loved this film! The locations were terrific and they worked well with what was going on. The action is brilliant. It's fun and energetic, and the stunts here are terrific. The acting's good but the characters didn't all seem that that interesting. Jason Bourne and Pam Landey w...( read more)ere, but some of the others like Nicki - I just didn't really care for them. the story's good, and it continues right from the previous film. Matt Damon is great as Bourne. There's a lot of charm to the way Damon plays Bourne and he does it so well. My favourite scene would definitley be the chase scene on the roof tops, that was really well done. The ending is the ending I wanted, and that pleased me a lot. I loved the soundtrack. This is a fun action flick, and you'll be sure to have a great time with it.

    edge of your seat movie

Superb action film, with great political undertones. I'm glad to see they left it open for a 4th movies....
  • October 14, 2009
Excellent movie. I enjoyed how they tied this one with the previous ones. Very well done. All sequels should be done this way.
  • October 13, 2009
    Boring and pointless.
  • October 8, 2009
Somewhat cliche ending to the trilogy. Nothing really inventive to differentiate it from the other 2. Stylistically more like the 2nd, and thus the action scenes were well done.

Am I the only one who has noticed that every Bourne film is exactly like the one immediately preceding it? It isn't just the core ingredients that are being regurgitated from one film to the next, but the exact same structure, plot, excuses, contrivances, scenarios and developme...( read more)nts. Were it not for the occasional flashback to a previous installment, we would literally be looking at remakes...

The Bourne Identity: A man who was lost his memory is being hunted down by a top-secret government institution, led by one man, who either wants to kill him or bring him back into the fold. There is a car chase, a fight using commonly avaliable household objects between our hero and an opposing agent and during the film's climax the person in charge of chasing our hero is handled, the government backs off its chase, and our boy achieves closure, riding off into the sunset to live out his days under an assumed identity.

The Bourne Supremacy: Our hero, who still doesn't have his memory back, is once more being hunted down by a top secret government institution headed by one man (who it turns out was the REAL brains behind the prior attempts to hunt our boy down since the project he heads is far more complex than it appeared in the previous film) who either wants to kill him or bring him back into the fold. There is a car chase, a fight using commonly avaliable household objects between our hero and an opposing agent and during the film's climax the person in charge of hunting down our boy is dealt with, a measure of closure is achieved, the government backs off and our protagonist rides off into the sunset, free to live his life under an assumed identity.

The Bourne Ultimatum: Our main man still doesn't have his memories back and is once more being hunted by a top secret government institution headed by one man (who it turns out was the REALLY REAL brains behind the operation to track down our hero since the institute he heads is far more complex than alluded to in the previous film). There is a car chase, a fight using commonly avaliable household objects between our hero and an opposing agent and, in the film's climax.... well, you get the point.

That the film is well directed is almost an insult, in this case, since it lacks any and all substance. It is one of those once rare but now increasingly frequent cases of style AS substance. See Jason run! See Jason fight! See Jason sneak! See Jason drive! See Jason threaten! See Jason escape! The who, the where, the why are irrelevant, it is only the what and, in some cases, the how, that matter.

The film is tolerable due to its able if shaky-cammish direction by Paul Greengrass, who is far more talented than the film deserves, and a very good cast which includes David Strathairn, Scott Glenn and Albert Finney. The fact remains, however, there is absolutely no reason to see this film unless one is completely new to the series. That it's the "best" of the bunch may very well be true, but it does not excuse the fact that it is, beat for beat, exactly the same as the rest. In essence, Friday the 13th II-VIII for the new millenium without the sense of goofy fun.

Any wagers on what the plot of the fourth Bourne film will be?

if you want action from start to finish.. this is it... although you will not understand it if you haven't seen the first two... this one is just a great raw action movie I've seen.... Kudos to Paul Greengrass for making this one.... Matt Damon is solid as Jason Bourne
