Survival horror against the most vicious creatures in the world... genetically designed killer dogs!

Uninteresting characters and bad acting by the humans. The one extra star is given only because of the dogs. They seem to have fun and they outact all of the annoying, stupid peo...( read more)ple...

Sweet Christ, this is a fucking dull movie. Michelle Rodriguez could not act her way across the street, though watching her get shot in the leg with a stray arrow aimed for her canine assailant is one of the funniest film moments I've had in months. Honestly, the rest of it is ju...( read more)st hideously trite dialogue slapped together by some guy who heard in screenwriting class that he had to develop characters and thought shittily-implemented discussions about sibling love would do the trick. All of the moronic dog violence is in the last fifteen minutes of the movie, except for a few scattered scenes to punctuate the boredom here and there. Ugh, why am I talking about this movie?

And of COURSE the black guy dies first.

pretty nifty horror that reminds me somewhat of another horror involving dogs... but in that there was a man who controlled the dogs. i can't bloody remember what that was called. anyway, this one's better... quite a few heart jolting moments. more than usual. most seem to have o...( read more)ne or two. michelle rodriguez is fine totty. she's got a bit of an eva mendes look about her. must be latin blood flowing through her with a name like that. hill harper probs did the best acting but none of em were particularly amazing. it was just an entertaining horror. best bit was when rodriguez's character attempted to get the car in the garage. oh and the bit where one of 'em attempts to swim for the plane and as it's turning around in the water... duh duh!

A pretty good horror/thriller as some friends get trapped on a remote island with a pack of wild rabid type dogs after them. Not scary or gory but pretty good overall. If you want more blood and guts try the very bloody Wilderness, where I think they got the idea for this from!

Bog standard horror fare of a group of college kids coming to a supposedly deserted island and finding a pack of genetically modified rabid dogs roaming the island hell bent on their blood. It has it's scary moments. Not bad but it felt rushed due to the short running time.

First time Director Nicholas Mastandrea and actress Michelle Rodriguez co stars in what is a good but slightly disappointing Wes Craven production. The Breed is about a group of college kids who fly to a deserted island by a small private owned plane to a log cabin for spring bre...( read more)ak. Upon staying, they end up finding out that the supposed dogs who were put down at a local animal shelter are running amok and are genetically altered.

The story alone sounded interresting but what it lacked was the true scare factor. Some sequences were pretty intense, but for some reason I just didn't find it that scary. The way the dogs tore their victims up was pretty brutal and it was kinda an edge of your seat thing when you never knew who was dog food for these vicious animals. As for casting goes you got Eric Lively,Hill Harper,Oliver Hudson,Nick Boraine and Taryn Manning who starred alongside Michelle Rodriguez.

They aren't basically big names but they have been in a variety of TV shows and direct to TV films throughout their careers. If you got cable and want to see a rather decent cheap budgeted horror flick then The Breed is for you. Other then that I wouldn't reccomend wasting your money on purchasing it or renting it.

This is a survival horror that doesn't scare you at all. It's got the typical story about people on an island with something sinister living there. There are plot holes and the characters aren't very interesting. The acting is terrible from the humans but the dogs were awesome! T...( read more)he dogs actually were decent, considering they're dogs. The film constantly tries to build up suspense but is never successful in doing that. The ending luckily isn't too predictable and the location isn't too bad. Then again, this is the type of film people should never see. It's terrible.
