This is not regarded as one of Bette Davis or James Cagney's better films, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and feel it is very underrated. It's great to see Davis take a stab at comedy, a nice change of pace for her and she handles it great. In spite of the fact the two stars did not...( read more)

Haha. You take the toughest broad and you get a ganglord, put them together in the same film. Perfect pairing, that's all I'm gonna say.

Some will see it as slumming but Bette and Jimmy seem to having a good time cutting loose in this comedy

Charming and fun, this is a fun romp that should be taken at face value. It's an enjoyable movie, but be aware that it borderlines on silliness at times.
