February 5, 2008this is a pretty solid film. it was a shadow of what i expected, being slow, simple, and without intensity for a film about a mutiny. but the performances were solid and it was entertaining. overall a pretty solid film.

August 16, 2009Certainly one of Humphrey Bogart's finest performances. He is amazingly good, and it is a pleasure to see him act in this, particularly when it is against type. The screenplay is extremely well done. A fine classic.
