The Calling is very provoking Movie. In British Horror Movies there is not much Special Effect I noticed though a Story line and the Directors provoke the Public to use their Fantasy. This Movie was a guilty Joy.

In "The Calling" (or "666" as it is called in some countries) a couple's son turns out to be the son of Satan. If you have seen "The Omen" you know what this is all about, cause this could easily be called a b-movie 'retake' of it. Sure it has some ideas of it's own, but they don...( read more)'t save this movie from being compared to "The Omen" that is far better, however "The Calling" is very watchable and could have been a lot worse than it is.

ATTENTION! If you feel OFFENDED by Movies like Omen & co. Dont read this review because I m gonna add some "Anti-Christ" Quotes from the Movie.

I really loved this Movie. It might not be Omen type but its worth Watching and alooot better then Rosemary's Baby. I thin
...( read more)k it is very under rated. Its not a Horror Movie, more a Mystery thingy. However the first 20 Minutes are abit lame. When she kills her Son and it happens to be that the "Satanist" wanted her to, I lost the Thread but then I was okay. I think the Movie deserves attention of Mystery Fans. What I did not like about the Movie was about the Animals Killing thingy. This was not necessary.
It has a Creepy moments, but I began to enjoy the Movie when the Taxi Driver appears. What he says is really interesting. Unforgetable Scene for which I m gonna add the Quotes later.

The fact that the Devil fearing in Church whatsoever is just rubbish.
However abit klichečs but its worth your time really. Though Horror Fans might not like it.

    Quoted
I especially liked the religion angle, the idea that the anti-christ would undergo satanic counterparts to baptism, crucifixion, resurrection, etc. This hasn't been explored in other films and that's why this one deserves to be seen.
