At least this one had a semi-believeable plot. The
only reason I enjoyed this movie more than THE DESCENT
(both are about caves), was because it gave us a
better look at what spelunking might really
be like. I might watch this one again, but only
because I won't have to pay for it.
Really good. I like it. Its a 12a in the Uk but i thought it should have been a 15. My mum was so scared when the girl was climbing up the wall. Not really scary. I think its more a action/adventure/sci-fi/thriller
I love this movie because it brought a whole new aspect to the suspense thriller genre. And for a PG-13 movie which I tend to avoid on principal..it was actually a pretty excellent movie. I liked the idea and the story. Good movie indeed.
Not bad. Does create a creepy environment early on, but fails to maintain throughout it's entire. The movie takes a sharp turn and becomes an action/escape type which is where it fails to deliver. Although the creatures are frightening and the idea behind it is strong, this movie feels like its missing something, and its tacky ending adds to that emptiness. All in all tho, it turned out to be a good sci-fi thriller.
I only picked this movie up at the rental place here cause there was nothing else out and OMG it was probably the surprise of the year for me, very entertaining from start to finish. I suggest this for any sci fi fans.
A science fiction gone wierdo - like a mix between the frightening sense of being lost in a cave and the "Doom" video game? maybe. Overall, there's plenty of suspense and twists with a nice plot, but somehow, it feels as if something is missing.
this was a excellent movie it was freaky had murder and scary viper albino blind flesh eating monsters some strong tough woman it was supposed to be a fun time and it lead up to survival only the strong survive
Started off with real potential to be a much better film then it essentially dissolves into. Seemed as if the script had gone through a major re-write several times over somewhere after the beginning had been appropriately fleshed out. Pretty average.
Super cheesy thriller fun. Not a bad movie to watch if you're forced to stay in your house with a virus that doesn't allow you to go outside because you are so contagious (true story).
At parts it's so muddled that I literally could not tell what was going on because the editing was so hectic. Thinking about The Descent is scarier than watching The Cave.
this movie and descent must be seen, cause really you can understand the difference between man & woman.. four man tries to help each toher to get out, but the women in Descent... amazing....watch both of them
I watched this movie with low expectations, given all the critical panning it received. But it wasnt that bad. But then again I watched it on cable, and avoided paying $7+ to see it in a theatre, which can make many movies seem more worth it.
There was no real character development, but it was nice and creepy to watch. And I liked the last 30 seconds of the ending.
I would probably give it 2 1/2 stars, but the ending deserves the boost to 3 stars.
