  Creep-ass 80's shock cinema which really achieves a lot with a low-budget. The kids in this one are spooky walking zombies. The Troma DVD print was all scratched up and faded, which made it more atmospheric.

  Now I see where Stephen king got his ideas for Children of the Corn and The Shinning. The more movies I see the more I see Stephen King Obtaining his idea, ie: The Kingdom from Holland. Anyway these children are riding home on a bus when they pass throug a Yellow Cloud and the next thing you know they have black nails and are zombies, toxic zombies at that. Its a deal in the Grindhouse Movie Collection Vol 1.

  This film was released by Troma in 2005 but released actually in 1980. This is a well crafted little deranged tale and really caught me off garde. I'm not a fan of silly possesed children, but maybe it's cause I was thinking of VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED. This film goes far beyond creepy kids and really makes these suckers fuck a person up. I don't want to give much away, I would rather you just watch it.

  I first saw this movie when I was a kid and it horrified me. A few decades have passed and I finally rewatched it and I was amazed. Here's a fun horror flick with instantly likeable characters and a very creepy story. As hardened of a horror fan as I am, even I was creeped out by some of the scenes in this flick (the kids smiling reflections in the window). Sure it's low budget, but that's what's great about it. And credit goes to the filmmakers for making a consistantly entertaining film, throwing logic to the wind and not explaining why the kid's hands must be cut off or why they are now indestructable. It just makes for a lot of great scenes (Chopping up kids!!! AMAZING!). Plus, they created tension very well.
