Rob Lowe is an overworked attorney in need of some Christmas spirit. Meanwhile, a young boy must come to terms with his terminally ill mother's condition. It's a highly manipulative piece of filmmaking. There's plenty of sad, crying speeches. It sucks out most of the emotion when...( read more) it's trying so hard to upset it's audience. Luckily, their performances and Christmas cheer are enough to keep this film afloat.

SO sad! I bawled my head off. I loved that it was filmed in Nova Scotia, the landscape definitely looked familiar to me. And I just LOVE Rob Lowe.

What a tear jerker movie - and a Christmas movie to boot. It is OK I guess.

I thought everyone gave good performances, but Rob Lowe didn't really dazzle me. He was just kind of there... The Christmas Shoes is a movie that's based on a book that's based on a song of the same name. the movie was absolutely heart-breaking, i couldn't make myself stop crying, it's an emotional story about a mother (Kim Paisley) that's about to die from a heart problem and how this s...( read more)tory is connected with another guy's (Rob Lowe) trouble with his wife. i loved how the mother knew the wife of the guy, the father knew the husband and how the son knew the guy's mother without actually knowing that they are all related (only the ones who watched this film would have understood what i just said).

the movie has a very sweet story that will make you cry and i loved the song too -very nice lyrics- and the acting was perfect, you'll forget that you're watching a tv movie.
