The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Reviews and Ratings

The fighting in the film was awful nd it was very predictable
  • August 9, 2009
Was better than the first part. Somehow. I can't figure out what was better. But still not good. No good fight sequence - I understand that it can't show splatters of blood, but not any good action sequences, too. Poorly pictured. Too slow storyline. Nothing new to offer.

  • August 5, 2009
    This move is beyond boredom!
Why even lend your beautiful voice to this shit Liam Neeson?
DON'T watch it. In my humble opinion the story is ridiculous (I hope those books are a bit funnier to read) and all four child characters are irritating and endlessly predictable. C...( read more)hoose a different Disney movie to watch, there's many others that are better!

One of my favorite books when I was a kid was The Chronicles of Narnia. So when I heard they were adapting the books to the big screen I was excited. I enjoyed The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, but Prince Caspian was even better. If there is a film franchise that can be even...( read more) slightly compared to The Lord of The Rings then it is this one. The characters and action scenes are excellent in this fantasy epic. This time around the four brothers, Peter, Susan, Edmond, and Lucy are summoned back to Narnia although it is a different Narnia from the one they left behind. The city is in ruins and the Narnians have been almost all exterminated by the telmarines. Prince Caspian is the successor for the throne but his uncle has other plans. Caspian has to flee for his life and ends up meeting some of the surviving Narnians who offer him protection. This is when the four brothers come into action and help Caspian along with the people of Narnia to fight back against the telmarines. Nobody has seen Aslan for a long time and many suggest he is gone so it seems to be time to take matters into their own hands, but things donĂ¢t go as planned. Lucy is the only one who has seen Aslan and the way things are going it seems that she is their only hope. This film lived up to the previous one and to the book as well. I really enjoyed the movie. One of my favorite characters in the book was Reepicheep so I was glad to see him have screen time.

It was quite dark and evil and violent. But it was also beautiful at times and there's nothing that can beat a bit of magic ;)

Great movie. Great story. A gem o a movie. The director Andrew Adamson understands the novels of C.S.Lewis.

This is a very good movie

Not necessarily good, but not bad allegorical action epic for kids, this second of the Chronicles of Narnia did not quite live up to its predecessor. Still, there's enough visual flair and action to keep it moving, and the Lord-of-the-Rings-light battle scenes are worth a look.

wasnt bad waay better than i expected
  • July 28, 2009
    Too many battle scenes...
  • July 27, 2009
Not quiet as good as "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" but still very enjoyable. it probably would have worked better as a Christmas release.

Better than the first movie. Visually cleaner and better effects. It didn't really get going until the third act. Nice battle scene at the end.

  • July 12, 2009
this was so spectacular!! (ok so I watched this a second time, it was ok. a bit cheesy.)

the guys who play the bad guys are great. it was overall really dark. some didnt think that it followed the story because it didnt have to do with the wardrobe but i thought that it was bett...( read more)er because of that. but i cant remember because it was a while ago when i read the books, which i loved!
i didnt like when the 2 guys were beating Peter up, near the beginning of the story, it was sad!!!!!i felt bad for him. because he is kinda by himself for a lot of the movie beacuse not everyone agrees with him. susan sided with caspian of course. it was most obvious that caspian and susan liked each other. i thought that georgie's acting was better in the first than in this one probably since she was younger. skander looked and acted more mature. and this time there really werent too many creepy creatures, really only 2, the ones siding w/the white witch. that one mouse was so adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this one had tons more funny parts in it! like when lucy says hes so cute! who said that?! it really really reminded me of lotr because of the catapolts and the armor, and formation of the army. the reason is probably since the were designed both by Weta workshop. the scenery was absoulute gorgeous!!! but i dont exacly think that it should have ended the way that it did.
  • July 12, 2009
This was not as good as the first one obviously blame on too much CGI. Also that story just drag on slowly long therefore got a bit boring, and Prince Caspian wasn't an interesting character to me. I give credit with the action sequences etc though they could have kicked that mas...( read more)keteer looking mouse away. Pointless really.
