As the NBC commentators said about Michael Phelps, "We're running out of superlatives..." I say the same about this man.

More Chaplin gold. I never get sick of watching this guy. This one has more gags and comedy and less tear-jerking than some of his other stuff but that doesn't make it less enjoyable.

The Circus is Charlie Chaplin's most underrated movie. It's highly enjoyable with tons of laughs and memorable scenes. The plot is very simple, but is executed perfectly. This is definitely a gem.

It's pure Chaplin and contains all the usual laughs, but for some reason it doesn't stand up to his other classics in terms of heart. I would call this more of a 'pure slapstick', whereas, say, 'City Lights' is hilarious and deeply moving.

Although it lacks the emotional depth of Chaplin's other films, I nearly roll on the floor laughing every time I see this movie. The tightrope-walking scene with the monkeys was undeniably bravura comedy.

I really much enjoy going to the circus so I was very interested to see what Chaplin would have done as an entertainer in a circus. The story is very simple yet it is magnificently played, and some numbers are hilarious. It will leave you with a smile on your face.

More crazy Chaplin. Hilarious set pieces with tons of wacky animal moments. Yet, Chaplin still manages to find the heart of the picture. Fun stuff all around.

Another excellent comedy from Charlie Chaplin. It has everything and is just as good as the other films i've seen of his. It is sweet but it can make your sides at the same. Charlie Chaplin achieves that type of thing better than any other.

To me, Chaplin's greatest film, filled with gags, comedy, romance and one of the most greatest endings i have ever seen........

It's a very very very very very very underated film, considering the fact that it's Chaplin's most unknown film. The circus shows Chaplin at the top of his form. The film have some of the funniest scene in all Chaplin's movies.

A very good Chaplin film. Hilarious to start, but it falls short toward the end. This is probably one of his funniest movies overall, but it falls short of the heart showcased in most of his films, just as The Great Dictator also fails to do.

    7.5/10.

This is my favourite Chaplin film. Its so rip roanringly funny. Endless visual gags, comic timing is impeccable and an easy to follow story. Its funny how, this was chaplins hardest film to make, but its in this where he is at his funniest. its true all you youngsters, slient films can acutally be funny!!

Of the Chaplin I've seen, this and "The Kid" stand out to me as films which have that something special.
