MCT:March 16, 2008This movie has lousy production, direction, and story flow. That being said, the ending partially makes up for the major flaws. It is a story of one of the most flawed men, who has some good points about American "feminism" who hits bottom and from it, his beautiful Chinese wife literally saves him from Hell on Earth and supposedly Eternal Hell. The inner ugliness of Maxwell vs. the inner beauty of his wife and which one succeeds is very moving.

This is a brilliant Drama that will unfortunately never get the attention and respect it deserves, with great performances from Patrick Warburton ( who plays a very different character to his well known puddy in Seinfeld) and Marie Matiko.

MCT:January 1, 2007This is really two movies. In the first half, Patrick Warburton plays a very obnoxious character. Then everything changes, and the rest of the movie is a beautiful meditation. Very well done.
