Good movie but Tom Cruise will never be Paul Newman... ever.
It's... you know... blah. Like Paul Newman in it though - and WTF, that's Scorsese's?!
Sequel to an undisputable classic. Scorsese delivers a fine cocktail, great timing, photography, and performances, especially Paul Newman's "fast" Eddie Felson the one and only hustler, this time back for some more struggle against himself.
Ever shot pool for eight hours a day, at least six months? And I'm talking every day. For any one that loves the game, this is a great movie.. a great classic. The shots, the game, the hustle.. Even if it's a sequel to the HUSTLER (Starting Paul Newman), it probably is one of ...( read more)
befor pool was "cool", they made a good movie on what it takes to be the best at something
This movie was awesome, probably due to the fact i love playing billiards. Great acting by Paul Newman and Tom Cruise and the shots on the table were phenomenal!
Tom Cruise in another young hot-shot role, this time with Paul Newman. Slightly disappointing despite good acting from Newman in particular.
I love how this movie and its sequel expore winniners and loosers and what makes them so.
An entertaining road/pool movie that captivates while it's on, but doesn't stick with you much after seeing it.
One of the many laughable movies where Tommy Boy tried to further his career by pairing himself with a movie icon in Newman. And as usual, the legendary actor was the one who completely upstaged the undertalented Cruise.
The sequel to "The Hustler" is a totally different kind of film - but enjoyable, all the same. If you can get past the '80s soundtrack, you will find no better performance by Cruise in his 'angry young man' phase, tempered by an older, gruffer Newman. Don't come expecting resolu...( read more)
There are very few films with Cruise in that I like and this is not one of them. Paul Newman was very good. Unfortunately the storyline seemed a little weak to me.
This movie pairs two of my favorite actors together. The acting is superb as expected and Martin Scorsese's direction is as impeccable as ever.
Fast Eddie has a protégé, and he isn't clear at all! Newman and Mastriantonio are excellent, Tom could have been replaced by anyone. It's a pity, I would have liked to see Felson play Fats again. Only fun for those who enjoy watching Tom Cruise mugg for the camera.
WHAT THE GIRL'S DIDNT LIKE THERE BEEF CAKE TOMMY THAT MUCH IN THIS FLICK AAW THAT'S NOT NICE !
