Every year, Ken and his wife, Nora, throw a birthday celebration in their oceanfront vacation home. This year, things are going to be different. Shortly after arriving, the guest of honor complains of a mild illness, and retreats to the bedroom for some rest. Meanwhile, worldly Veronica shows up for her first stateside celebration after spending nearly a decade in Europe and adulterous husband Marc appears poised to hit on every woman in sight.
