A classic, Hackman is great as Harry Caul and Coppola directs beautifully as always. A real 70's thriller I find hard to tire of.
the only thing better than the movies are the Murch and Coppola commentaries
This is a hard film to rate, it feels like the type of film which will be highly rated among big film buffs and yet, I found it painful to endure until about 15 minutes from the end, when in complete contrast the film becomes really enjoyable.

Slowly paced but very engrossing film. Well directed by Francis Ford Coppola, great performance by Gene Hackman. Very interesting story, good job by the supporting cast. Good character development.

I know this is supposed to be a classic, but I think this just shows how far movies have come along in recent years... I don't just mean effects, I mean the whole package including acting and scripts.
