    slapstick pirate adventure yarn with lancaster doing his own stunts i believe. liked the idea of the nitro glycerine, the mini-sub at the end, the mute, the air ballon and the upside down boat... walking along the sea-bed. much fun to be had

    Classic adventure movie! Burt Lancaster as a pirate in a movie that contains some love, and lots of humor and adventure.

    Classic swashbuckler full of fine action and slapstick humour. Pirates Of The Carribean pillaged many ideas from here, most blatantly, the walking under the sea in an upturned boat bit.
