This first movie from the Discovery Channel favorite opens with a plot of international intrigue over a downed satellite, but within four minutes Steve Irwin is belly flopping after a baby croc on the...( read more  read more... ) outback floor. Steve and his nerves-of-steel sidekick wife, Terri, are asked to relocate a cattle-chomping crocodile before it's shot by a local rancher. This same reptile happened to swallow the intelligence-gathering device that fell to earth, and so begins the goofball premise of this lark of a movie. The feds believe the Irwins are appropriating their classified info, and the Irwins think they're running from poachers. Quibblers may object to Irwin's frequent interruptions to introduce a bird-eating spider or paw through croc dung, but Crocodile Hunter fans wouldn't have it any other way. This 89-minute film is rated PG for action violence/peril and mild language. But unless you consider "crikey" an obscenity, it's a safe bet for family viewing. A sensational media fad like Jack-Ass, Jerry Springer, Spice Girls, Borat, etc.

Steve Irwin plays some dangerous games with wild animals and puts on quite a goofy show. I felt embarrassed and exploited watching this short-lived craze of a movie. Now that Steve Irwin is dead, ...( read more)it makes the movie a morbid curiosity found in a Previously-Viewed bin.

Absolutely atrocious film. This movie acts as the definition and example of the paradox of wooden acting and over-acting, present in Steve and Terri. I haven't seen all of this film, and in all fairness I probaby shouldn't be reviewing it just yet, but I feel I got more than a fa...( read more)ir indication of what this film is. To put it frankly, this is a rubbish movie that caters only to children......to some children. This is the entertaining, larakin side of Steve Irwin that everyone loved, but look past that and you see the true beauty of this man and his ideals. A shit movie but this entertainment gig is not what I respect Steve for. R.I.P. mate.

I LOVED this movie. My dad took me to see it on my birthday. It was exactly like his TV shows, promoting conservation. Its about him doing what he did best -- rescuing crocodiles. I am a huge fan of his. I wish I could've met him. I cried the day he died. Rest in peace.

Steve will be truely missed, he was one of those few people who changed the world, and I am sure that he would want all of his fans to carry on with his work and help and care for all animals including insects, because they have lives too. And I know that his family has to be hurting because I didn't even know him and when I found that he was killed, I felt like I lost a member of my own family and even to this day when I watch reruns of his show I cry and wonder how his family is doing, but I am sure that his children will grow up to be amazing people like their father was.

Steve Irwin was A TRUE HERO and even if his movie was like watching his t.v. show, I thought that it was great, no one can ever imagine what Steve's life was like. What he has done through the years helping our wildlife, and trying to make this world better for all of us, he is my Hero, and I will never forget him. I haven't met him in real life but everyone who is a fan and has never met him, should feel like Steve is a part of their family, and like they have known Steve their whole life. STEVE I WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU, YOU WERE A GREAT MAN, AND A GREAT FATHER, YOU WILL BE MISSED ALL OVER THE WORLD. R.I.P.
