Weakest out of the Oscar shorts I've seen. I did not enjoy the acting styles of the three leads. The boy must be related to the director. I did not find his halting speech precocious, or neurotic, or deep, or cute, or whatever it was supposed to be. That's harsh I know. The boy is becoming unnaturally obsessed and it could be a tragic look at a lack of gun control, but then the film tries to make light of the premise by reversing what the audience may be anticipating.
