    Oh dear God help us...

A slight horror twist on Groundhog Day before becoming more like Open Your Eyes and finally descending into Matrix/Underworld immitation. Plenty of ideas and mythology is juggled around in this rather entertaining yarn but at around 88 minutes there's a lot happening and being ru...( read more)shed. Apart from pacing though eveything seems to be in order with fine performances, tight PVC, gore, action and nice effects both computer generated and physical. Highly enjoyable, very interesting if a tad uneven.

Easily the best of this years Horrorfest. I've always been a big fan of The Twilight Zone and Outer Limits since I was 10 and this film reminds me of such.
If only the climax wasn't so comic-book cheesiness I would've rated it higher.

And Horrorfest '07 disappoints again. Just couldn't get into the groove of this drawn-out rubbish reminiscent of the worser episodes of The Outer Limits. Don't care about the characters, not all that intrigued by the plot (figured it in the first few minutes, psychic vampires ca...( read more)n be so lame). The creatures' "weapon hands" are just some black thick blade looking things and the creatures themselves are smoky renditions of the Predator meets the Creeper. Better than some of the other Horrorfest, but still shite. And the most annoying thing - everyone has accents from different Anglican countries so wtf is this supposed to be set anyway? Answer: In the minds of psychic vampires who watched Dark City too many times and have no imagination. ka-kow

Another film from the 8 Films to die for 2008 Collection. This is a pretty good film, Ian Dies over and over. Kind of like Butterfly Effect and Ground Hog Day, lots of movies with this theme out there. The ghouls would be more frightening on a big screen, my little ole school 23 i...( read more)nch does nothing. Its worth the purchase price as you can find it in Wallys World for $7.50

An interesting movie that kept my interest but towards the end it became very predictable. I like the idea of monsters that feed off fear and pain. As good as it was at times, I think a lot more effort could have been put into some elements of the movie.

This movie takes your mind on a vacation. Which is something we all love in movies. A man getting killed everyday, right when he wakes up, and each time is a different death that leads him to wake up in a different life every time. It is BUTTERFLY EFFECT MEETS THE MATRIX WITH A T...( read more)AD OF GORE SPRINKLED ON TOP. I give it a solid A!

Since Groundhog Day we have been saturated wth ripoffs, this film is not the exception. It is merely that, a ripoff of a brilliant idea. Aside from it having Mike Vogel, who's a super hottie, I don't think there are too many achievements. The fact that they are aliens is probab...( read more)ly promissing, but then they kill a good idea with him wanting to be good and the "bad aliens" wanting revenge for he is, obviously, the most powerful and shouldn't have kill one of them and leave them. Once again, evil is personified by a woman, which is cool, but a little corny already. The different lifes that he is given are kinda cool, specially the one where he is a drug addict, up to that point, though slow, the film is still promissing, but then, his characters turns into an ugly alien and fight awesomely and what could've been a fine escapism story, suddenly becomes into a cheap Predator/Groundhog Day/Aliens mockery.

Very interesting tale of a man that keeps getting murdered everyday and awakens to find himself in another life. He is stuck in a cycle of death and only he can break it.

Pretty decent special effects and a very original storyline. Probably one of the best films I've seen fro...( read more)m the after dark horrorfest.
