MCT:August 14, 2007Horrible but not quite gratuitous violence plays a major part in this, and repentance/forgiveness are heavy themes. Dark, disturbing and pretty enthralling for those who can take its constant thuggery and nastiness.

MCT:December 31, 2006Dark, insightful and dramatic. One of the finest scottish thrillers ever made. When Billy Connolly was heard to be playing in this, we thought it was a comedy...but he proved us wrong, he was strong, serious and very professional as an ex-murderer who is being chased down by the cop who put him away and simply cannot forgive him for his crimes. A great thriller.
