Pretty good, but I think "Coming Home" works better as an anti war film. Excellent performances here though, particularly from Christopher Walken, who won an Oscar, and Meryl Streep, who got her first Oscar nomination for this film.
  • April 3, 2008
Kind of slow, but like Barry Lyndon, builds to a satisfying climax. Walken earned a well deserved oscar.

Opposite him are Meryl Streep, Christopher Walken and others, whose names escape me at the moment. Michael Cimino won be...( read more)st picture for this masterpiec that can only be discribed as a groundbreaking one of a kind war drama.
