That was a great movie, just don't know why decaprio dies in all of his movies. Died in Blood Diamond and now in The Departed.

March 28, 2007I think the story was concised, because there are 3 parts for the original story(Infernal Affair). You can understand the story of The Departed easily, but you might approach to the true character of the player in Infernal Affair.

March 26, 2007I loved this movie so much. It was a little confusing the first time I watched it, but things were a little clearer the second and third times. Really makes you think!! The only part I did not like was how... abrupt the ending was.

March 15, 2007The movie was pretty good but not as good as the original Hong Kong version called Infernal Affairs. In IA, the characters are more charismatic. It almost made you want to root for Andy Lau's character (Matt Damon's in Departed). In IA, the antagonist, trully wanted to turn over a new leaf and pay for his wrong doings. Not quite so in The Departed.

March 7, 2007Did anyone else notice at the Academy Awards. After they annouced Departed as best adapted screenplay the voice over woman said that it was based on the JAPANESE film Infernal Affairs. You think the Academy could afford fact checkers.
Anyho.. wtg Scorsese on bagging his Oscar it's just a shame he didn't get one for one of his more deserving movies. -

March 6, 2007When this film won Best Adapted Screenplay, I was happy. When it won Best Drector, I was extremely happy. And finally, when it won Best Picture, obviously, I screamed at the top of my lungs praising Martin Scorcese for his immediate success. They said if hi didn't win that night, he would never have won. Bravo man, bravo.

March 3, 2007Finally Scorsese wins his Oscar! It couldn't have come at a better time because the Departed is his best film in about 17 years(since Goodfellas).

March 2, 2007Loved the first hour! After that I thought it slipped into the standard Scorsese type of film that I don't enjoy. Even though, this is the best Scorsese movie I've seen.
