i thought the ending was rather weak, someone always has to live at the end of the film and for it to just stop there? without telling you or letting you know what happens? poor.
that was one of the best movies yet....i saw it at night and i was scared the entire time....wow...what a movie...hope anyone that will see it will enjoy it as much as i did....it rocks...:D
Scariest movie I've seen in a while. And I don't mean scary creepy, which is what the Japanese are masters of, no... this one's jump-out-of-your-seat scary. You jump and scream. Alot.
Mmm... tot already shown in sg? I even saw this movie before. Maybe got ban before. Wahahahaha... But so far so good.. Kinda scary and exciting at the same time. Anyone know where this movie coming out from? Let me know, thanks...
This horror film works at it's such a high level because of the fact that the feeling of claustrophobic intensity within the caves puts on edge before you even get to any spooky supernatural shenanigans, and the betrayals, and revenge that go along with it. A definate improvement on Marshall's last film.
it looks cool to me, who dares to sit next to me? (I always need someone next to me during any kind of thrillers,,, I scream like anything, and I'll kill your hand,,,) so,, who dares? =P (just kidding)
The movie was a lot scarier when it was just about exploring a cave. *I* felt their claustrophobia and *I* felt their isolation. Just when I could not have been more interested, monsters showed up and it became an ordinary scary movie.
british horror films dont come around very often but when they do theyre great! this one is no different. fun, scary and dark makes this a very cool film indeed
I am not a fan of horror movies, i don't think is a fun experience to watch scary things, but wow, this is scary dude, very scary, so i have to admit it, i like this movie, of course, with the lights on and at 3pm ;)
it scared me, it had good acting, it was set ina good place.i know 3 stars but i dont really get into these films.they make me laugh in parts when your not suppost to laugh however it is a good kind of film.maybe it will be one of those films that grow on you over time.i do recommend it though.its good and gory
Very disappointed at this. I was expecting something great, because the idea was already scary, and Dog Soldiers was awesome. I'm not claustrophobic, so I wasn't likey to be scared just by caves, but the monsters were not scary at all. I so thought they'd look scary. They were all just that big gimp from Creep! I only jumped thrice, then it all got a bit tiresome, and I don't know if the ending was supposed to be clever or whatever, but I thought it was just boring and very lazy. It was also quite short. This film had no substance, and just tried to fit in a lot of scares. A lot of the camera work was awesome, but I would stick with dog soldiers.
Almost perfect horror. Apart from the final ending - which could / should have been cut - this is simply the best horror offering since a long time. Great script. Great directing. And a stellar natural cast.
Brilliant. Brilliant, Brilliant. After the amazing debut that was Dog Soldiers, i was nervous to see how Neil Marshall's second outing was going to turn out. well he did not dissapoint. Neil Marshall called it Six Chicks with Picks. Fair summary, tho he did miss out the pot-holing, wierd creatures, feeling of isolation, dis-orientation, claustraphobia, paranoia, the list is endless. Yes he has BORROWED from Deliverence, The Shining, Alien and The Thing (and there are probably a few others) but who cares when it works this well. The lighting is fantastic, using as little as a lighter in some scenes. Some of the camera shot are brilliant and take you right into the caves with the girls. And what a gorgeous bunch they are. Good solid acting by all 6, they show good unity and friendship at the start and as the action gets more tense so their bond, leading up to betrayal and agression. I seriously can't wait for Marshall's next project
