The Devil at 4 O'clock
A small island in the South Seas is threatened by the activity of a long dormant volcano. Father Doonan (Spencer Tracy) is a hard drinking priest nearing retirement. When the volcano erupts, he helps evacuate children from a mountainside hospital with the help of three convicts led by Harry (Frank Sinatra). The unlikely quartet lead the children to safety through molten lava and fire.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"The plot of Mervyn LeRoy's adventure is routine but the special effects are good (for its time) and it's well acted by Frank Sinatra as a convict and Spencer Tracy, again playing a priest."
‑ Emanuel Levy, EmanuelLevy.Com
"Colorful disaster movie with good teaming of Tracy and Sinatra."
‑ Steve Crum, Dispatch-Tribune Newspapers
"The special effects were fine, and were about all that was salvageable from this disaster of a film."
‑ Dennis Schwartz, Ozus' World Movie Reviews
