This movies starts out shocking. When you finish, and see the additional features, you realize this is a great movie making experience, thanks to director Rob Zombie.
Another great one, the funny thing though.. the feel of the movie is totally different, not as much of a mind thriller....who else didnt want the bad guys to die?
I honestly was not enjoying myself at ALL during this film.
Okay, maybe a little bit in the opening action sequence. But the rest of the movie was horrific, not in the scary way, just the crappy way.
Okay, none of these characters had any redeeming qualities to me. The only people who did were killed off. I thought it was stupid how they tried to make you LIKE these psychotic dipshits. Because I don't.
Better than House of 1000 Corpses. The acting was better, the guy who played Otis was a lot better. The story-line was definitely better. The end was amazing...and rather sad you kinda want that to happen but then again you don't. Ooooo!!*Spoiler*When Tiny comes and saves his sister...thats so sweet.:)FREE BIRD!!:)
Two members of the Firefly family of serial killers improbably escape a police raid by sneaking out the back door and go on an abduction and torture spree. HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES was a spectacular failure, but at least you could laugh at it; the sequel is just a sick, slick, soulless and pointless torture montage.
zombie gets better with every movie he does.he takes a simple plot "the hunters become the hunted"William Forsythe steals this movie big time. The sheriff avenging the murder of his brother.to quote Bill mosely"s character Otis,"you wanna see badass,I'll show you badass!"After showing the Firefly Family sadistically killing people in both movies, they get a dose of their own medicine and the Sheriff inflicts some justice upon them. You can't help but say "Damn he fucked them up!" before they go out in a blaze of glory.
Rob Zombie is without doubt ONE of the greatest horror directors of the past few years (Eli Roth being the worst IMO!), and this film really shows his love
The Devils Rejects - More action than horror, nonetheless very entertaining. This is a continuation of the story from Rob Zombies first film "House of 1000 Corpses", if you jump right in and watch this without watching the first film you might not really understand or even like anything about it.
Anyway like I said, the story carries out from the first film and now the Firefly family finds themselves in trouble from a justice seeking Sherrif.
Dirty, Dark, Brutal, Twisted & Sadistic. Very retro filming, Very awesome directing and very, unequally disturbing.
Great movie, much better than House of 1000 Corpses. The only thing was th gore looked pretty awful at some points. What was the purpose of using computer made graphics for a gunshot or a stab wound?
Truly brutal and unapologetic. Zombie has created a cinematic nightmare with memorable characters. Who are the bad guys here? At times, the overt bad language and juvenile humor hurt the film, however, the 2nd half elevates the story and makes us question our desires. It's also highly cinematic (borrowing from The Wild Bunch) with a tremendous ending.
Ok, I admit I really liked this movie...a combo of comedy and horror, and a little random..And twisted...which I like because movies have become so boring and predictable...a horror movie that kept my attention, which now a days is hard to do...
not usually a fan of this genre, but this was extremely well done.at the end of the film you almost empathize will the sadistic killer family. glad i watched it
When it borders on serious torture-porn, it's not very nice and fairly pointless, but when it descends into silliness (I can see a Grindhouse parallel here), the dialogue and characterisation turn it into quite an enjoyable romp.
What a messed up and twisted film. I don't think there is much of a plot to this, just endless torture and swearing. It could have also ended a lot quicker. At times during the film I was disgusted but also very bored, as you guessed what was coming next, more violence. The victims were also the most pathetic and stupid people I've ever seen in a film.
This film just failed to get my attention. i watched around an hour of it and i just drifted off to do other things. most of it dint really have a point to it. and i dont particualy like my films full of half naked woman. you can certanly tell a guy directed this. rob zombie. just not my cup of tea.
damn that is one creepy sick family. i actually thought for a minute at the end that justice wouldn't be served but thank god it was. this is a movie to watch with your mates, a lot of the content people will be watching through their fingers.
Otis, Spaulding & Baby are back & they look better then ever, unfortunatly the movie felt like it was missing some thing but it was still great. It has an exelent soundtrack
