Critic Reviews

  • Bridget Byrne, Boxoffice Magazine

There is a peeping tom mood to this amusing and often surprising tale, which follows the fortunes of a dress from drawing board to ragged demise.

  • Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloid

An intriguing, smart, and witty movie.

  • Staci Layne Wilson, Buzzine Magazine

A doomed dress destroys Dutch dames in this dark, diabolical comedy.

  • Christopher Null, Filmcritic.com

It sounds bleak, and it's a black comedy to be sure, but somehow writer/director Alex van Warmerdam milks the humor out of every situation

  • David N. Butterworth, rec.arts.movies.reviews

    Creepy and hard to dislodge.
