Critic Reviews

  • Heather Boerner, Common Sense Media

Sexist TV prequel is much raunchier than the show.

  • Todd Gilchrist, IGN Movies

A film of stultifying stupidity disguised as down-home folksiness and derivative thrills, The Beginning is about as reprehensible as entertainment comes, even in our decreasingly intelligent times.

  • Felix Gonzalez Jr., DVD Review

I did not have high expectations for this release, and I am not surprised by what I saw.

  • Felix Gonzalez Jr., DVD Review

In spite of all the raunch, there is little to laugh at in this hack job of a movie. (Unrated)

  • Christopher Null, Filmcritic.com

This movie really didn't need to be made. It's suppose to be a prequel to the story that only ends up messing up the time line. They throw Willie and Harland in for star appeal and it doesn't exactly do anything besides show they were desperate to try and capitalize on… More
