Not especially recommended. Although The Dunwich Horror has its moments of both interest and creepiness overall it is yet another deeply flawed and ultimately failed attempt to bring the imaginative horrors of Lovecraft's stories to the big screen. Kitsch seventies stylistic trappings and a woeful performance from Dean Stockwell do the film no favours either.

For being in many ways unfaithful to the tone, flavor, and style of Lovecraft's story, it's still an entertaining film! Okay, so that's blasphemy, but they kept some elements and reworked it in an interesting say. Bite me. :P

Ah, admirable attempt...really. I like Stockwell too. But this is just a sad version of the fabulous story. This is a movie that needs to be remade.

I enjoyed this movie. Sure it has all the camp associated with most Lovecraftian-type films. But it also has a good sense of building tension. I need to see it again, but I recall really enjoying it for what it was.

Waste of TIME!! Very Weak movie, DO NOT WATCH, if you do end up watching it, side effects may include: Suicide, murder ramapages, road ramapage, any kinds of ways of harming yourself, and many others...
